How do I vote?
General Election Day is on May 2, 2011
“The single biggest result that could make a difference in this election is to elect your Green MP. Vancouver Centre is the right place. Change can happen, one person at a time. This is the right time. I am the right MP. You’ve got the power. Just do it – VOTE!”
Adriane Carr
How to vote
It’s time to vote! I am excited at the possibility of representing you in parliament as a Green MP. This is a moment of change and I encourage you to make the difference and vote. Here’s what you need to know to register to vote.
The Canada Elections Act has changed and you now need proof of identity and your address in order to vote. You need to be a Canadian citizen to vote. If you know you will not be here on Election Day, May 2, there are advanced polling options available.

Special shuttle service to be provided for Olympic Village polling station
This election, we’ve lost three major poll sites on the south side of Vancouver Centre. Due to renovations or pre-booking, the Plaza 500, Science World and the Holiday Inn on Broadway are unavailable.
The only facility available was the Creekside Community Recreation Centre in the Olympic Village (“C” in the above map). Our electors on both sides of Broadway between Spruce and Ontario had quite a distance to travel and no direct public transit route. Happily, Coast Mountain Bus Company will provide a SPECIAL shuttle for electors on May 2nd.
Using regular bus stops along Broadway, they will begin hourly Eastbound service at 7:00 am and continue until 7:00 PM. Westbound from 1 Athletes way, south on Quebec and west on Broadway every hour on the half hour (last bus leaves at 6:25 PM).
So if your poll is voting at CCRC, don’t hesitate to take advantage of this special shuttle!
